Pear lattice pie (learning and le creuset)

Updated: May 31, 2023

Feeling like adding a pie to your picnic as summer approaches? This was what I did! Following 'call me cupcakes' recipe, this recipe was easier than I thought.

Call me cupcakes recipe:

I enjoyed how there were a mix of cinnamon and clove spices in the pear filling. It made the pear pie smell extra special. I thought making a pie was challenging but it was fun making the lattice pie pattern. The dough was not challenging to make as you won't have to knead it much. Just make sure to combine together until it doesn't stick to your hands.

Her youtube videos helped:

Le Creuset Stoneware Mixing Jug, 2 L

I used Le creuset's Stoneware Mixing Jug, 2 L for mixing the ingredients for the pie dough and assembling the pear filling. It's a sturdy mixing jug and looks like a giant teacup!

You could even store some soup in this jug while serving to your guests at the dinner table.

Le Creuset Stoneware 10–Ounce Mortar and Pestle, Colour: Teal

For grinding the cloves in this recipe, I had to use this pestle and mortar! It's made of high-fired stoneware with an enamel exterior so, it does not chip easily. Beautiful colour and easy to clean as it does not allow stains to remain!
