Banana and kiwi matcha oats

Updated: Aug 4, 2021

Matcha oats topped with sliced bananas, kiwi, frozen blueberries and flaxseeds.

I soaked my oats in hot water instead of cooking them on the stovetop.

Thought I'd try this green garden of oats!

The use of matcha powder

I used bulk powder's matcha green tea powder. It came with the scent of matcha and just a little amount of matcha powder can make whatever you're incorporating them really green. I would totally recommend using bulk powder's matcha green tea powder!

This recipe makes: 1 serving

Total time: 20-30 minutes

Ingredients

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup hot water

1/4 cup unsweetened soy milk

2 tsp chia seeds

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp matcha powder

1 tbsp peanut butter (optional)

1/4 cup frozen blueberries

1 banana

1 kiwi

1 tsp flaxseeds (optional)

Method:

1. In a bowl, mix oats, chia seeds, cinnamon and matcha powder until evenly combined.

2. Soak the oats in hot water for 20 minutes or when your oats are completely soft. Once oats are soaked, mix in the unsweetened soy milk for a creamy texture.

3. Top with sliced bananas, frozen blueberries, sliced kiwis, flaxseeds.

Hope you liked making these matcha oats if you did.
